Unacademy Acquires Leading UPSC Test Prep Platform Coursavy
Coursavy is a leading platform for UPSC preparation focused on inculcating daily discipline among learners
Unacademy, India’s largest learning platform, announced the acquisition of Coursavy, a leading platform for UPSC test preparation. The acquisition will further strengthen Unacademy’s leadership position in the UPSC test prep market. In 2020, Unacademy has acquired Kreatryx, and Prep Ladder, besides investing in Mastree, and taking over the custodianship of CodeChef.
Coursavy was started in January 2019 by Vimal Singh Rathore with the vision to make high
quality and affordable educational content accessible to UPSC aspirants through technology.
Coursavy developed a scalable learning platform and process which solves the challenge of a
lack of discipline in learning — the most cited roadblock to a learner’s success. It also
replicated the personal guidance and engagement a student received in an offline setup,
hence promoting a community learning environment. Through Coursavy, students who
completed over 70% of their daily targets have witnessed improved learning efficiency and
Coursavy educators, including Vimal, will now teach on the Unacademy platform and also
provide mentorship to the existing educators on enhancing discipline amongst the aspirants.
The content from Coursavy will assist Unacademy Educators in their Live Classes and help
Learners with their UPSC preparation.
“As we grow and strengthen our position as the leader in the test prep market, bringing
Coursavy on board will play a strategic role for Unacademy in the UPSC examination
category. At Unacademy, we are striving to democratise education in India and this
acquisition is a step in that direction. The exponential growth in Unacademy’s subscriber
base is a testament to the increasing demand for quality online education, and a result of
our consistent efforts in building the best learning ecosystem for our Learners. I look
forward to working with Vimal and the Coursavy team as they become a part of the
Unacademy Group.” said Gaurav Munjal, Co-founder and CEO, Unacademy Group.
Coursavy has Live sessions that include daily doubt resolutions, core content classes,
mentorship, study notes, evaluation and feedback, to inculcate daily discipline amongst
aspirants. Currently Coursavy has various subject matter experts teaching over 70,000
learners through their YouTube channel and platform.
“At Coursavy we have created a 360-degree ecosystem where content, teachers, students,
Live interactions and query resolution are connected in a daily discipline – empowering
students to focus on their studies with a trust that all issues will be resolved by the teacher.
We are thrilled to be a part of Unacademy and be able to contribute to the mission of
democratising education. Access to the right resources, technology and teams will help us
create impact in the lives of millions of learners,” said Vimal Singh Rathore, CEO, Coursavy.
To enhance the learning experience for UPSC aspirants, Unacademy will conduct bimonthly
scholarship tests – Aspire, and also conduct knowledge sharing summits with UPSC toppers,
Top Educators and experts from the field.
