Compute North Adds Satyen Yadav as CTO to Accelerate Sustainable Cloud Solutions

Cloud Computing Leader to Advance Data Center Infrastructure That Bolsters Businesses and the U.S. Energy Grid

Compute North, a leader in sustainable, large-scale computing infrastructure, announced the appointment of Satyen Yadav as Chief Technology Officer to advance innovation in distributed computing services, including cloud computing for machine learning applications. A veteran of Boeing Digital Aviation and Amazon Web Services, Yadav brings more than 25 years of global technology and business experience developing software for large-scale distributed systems and delivering innovative B2B/B2C distributed cloud platforms and services.

“We’re going to bring a diversity of computing workloads to the renewable energy sources and work to net-zero emissions. Ultimately, the work we are doing will advance both data center and energy grid infrastructure to support a higher concentration of renewables.”

Yadav began as CTO with Compute North in May after serving as Global CTO of Boeing Digital Aviation, where he was responsible for the vision and direction of digital product architecture, agile development methodologies, cloud service architecture, and security practices. He also led the global teams responsible for delivering software-as-a-service (SaaS) and analytic solutions for the aerospace industry. Prior to Boeing Digital Aviation, Yadav held leadership positions at technology companies Amazon Web Services and Intel.

“Satyen brings unparalleled technical leadership and passion for driving efficiency in cloud computing,” said Dave Perrill, Compute North CEO and Co-founder. “Needs are changing fast, and as the demand continues for data to become faster and smarter, traditional infrastructure isn’t keeping up. By delivering agile, efficient, and affordable computing solutions, Compute North is focused on fueling the next wave of business breakthroughs while accelerating the transition to a carbon-neutral future.”

When companies are tied to infrastructure that is mis-matched with their needs, it slows down their work and holds back their potential. This challenge is one Yadav understands. He brings deep expertise in crafting cloud-based solutions to Compute North. Over the course of his career, he has been credited with more than 20 patents in distributed computing, networking, machine learning, and cybersecurity.

“This opportunity combines my passion for technology with renewable energy to build the world’s most sustainable and cost-effective computing infrastructure at scale,” says Yadav. “We’re going to bring a diversity of computing workloads to the renewable energy sources and work to net-zero emissions. Ultimately, the work we are doing will advance both data center and energy grid infrastructure to support a higher concentration of renewables.”
