SendtoNews Gives Back With #AdTechCares Initiative
- Tech company donating ad inventory to encourage COVID-19 vaccinations
SendtoNews has partnered with Amobee to donate video advertising inventory to charitable organizations looking to spread the word about various social causes. STN Video is part of Amobee’s #AdTechCares coalition of 50+ advertising agencies, adtech platforms, and data partners, originally formed in March 2020 to combat misinformation about the Covid-19 pandemic and direct the public to credible, trustworthy news and information.
The first ad campaign currently live on the STN’s online video platform is a series of eight myth-busting videos about the COVID-19 vaccine that direct viewers to the Centers for Disease Control and World Health Organization for accurate information. STN Video will next be involved in Project Vaccination Trust, a campaign to encourage Americans to receive one of the COVID-19 vaccines when it is their turn. The initiative is in partnership with the newly formed Veterans Coalition for Vaccination (VCV) that supports state and local officials in the equitable distribution of vaccines through a nationwide network of over 1 million veteran volunteers.

“We have always championed the idea that information is the first line of defense,” says STN CEO Matthew Watson. “We really appreciate the opportunity to again team up with Amobee and the more than 50 agencies, publishers, and AdTech providers in the #AdTechCares coalition to help raise awareness and deliver actionable information on these much deserving campaigns across our online video platform. It also means a lot to our staff that we find ways to help others during these challenging times.”
In the summer, STN Video will also be participating in the #AdTechCares’ Project Drawdown initiative, which outlines solutions to climate change. \
“We are thrilled to have STN Video join us for this crucially important effort to combat misinformation about the COVID-19 vaccines and encourage everyone to get their vaccine as soon as it is their turn,” says Ryanne Laredo, Chief Customer Officer at Amobee and the Co-Creator of the #AdTechCares initiative. “On behalf of everyone at Amobee and in the larger #AdTechCares coalition, we thank you for joining us and leaning-in with your donation and support.”
STN Video’s other recent charitable initiatives include donations of ad impressions to the CDC and WHO for COVID-19 relief PSAs, live streaming of the NFL Draft-A-Thon for COVID relief and funding contributions to local chapters of the YMCA/YWCA.
STN Video wholeheartedly believes in the importance of giving back and, commends and encourages other tech companies across North America to do the same.
