RS21 announces the release of MOTHR, a new data analytics and visualization platform that seamlessly integrates data and reveals insights at hyper speed. MOTHR is built for decision makers and domain experts, bringing complex data analytics to non-technical users. The data science and visualization company supports customers in both the public and private sectors, including government and healthcare, and intends to bring big data and machine learning capabilities to new customers.

The MOTHR platform takes advantage of open source tools and algorithms and provides the technical architecture, methods, and data RS21 uses to develop products. The serverless platform has built-in security, monitoring, analytics, scalability, artificial intelligence and machine learning models and a library of plug-and-play data sources.
RS21 used MOTHR to build the Urban Health Vulnerability Index in just five days in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. After its initial launch, RS21 was able to quickly scale the application, adding data sources and visualizing elements in 500 U.S. cities in a matter of two weeks. Customers can similarly benefit from the platform’s flexibility, external data sets, intuitive interface, web-scraping and machine learning capabilities.

The data analytics platform is the result of over a hundred collaborations with federal government agencies, city and state governments, private and non-profit partners, National Laboratories and healthcare providers and insurers addressing issues such as disaster response, infrastructure and supply chain resilience, community safety and population health.
