NASA administrator’s principal advisor will speak at the 2019 Future of Technology Summit [Feb 11-12] on how rapid tech advancements will shape the way we live, work, learn, and the future of life in space.
NASA’s Acting Chief Technologist Dr. Douglas Terrier, is speaking at the Future of Technology Summit D.C to share his vision for the future of technology with leaders from local and international business, government, and social sectors.
Dr. Terrier hopes to prepare decision makers across industries with the insights necessary to harness the power of today’s fastest evolving technologies such as big data, the Internet of Things, machine learning, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and more.
“The development of new technology is moving at a rapid pace, faster than ever before,” says Dr. Terrier. “If I can inspire key players in systems that affect all of us—like healthcare, business, and education—to take advantage of these shifts sooner, that’s what I am going to do.”
Dr. Terrier will be a headliner at the highly-anticipated Future of Technology Summit (FTSummit), where he’ll be joined by other tech innovators of global acclaim.

In his role as NASA’s acting chief technologist, he is the principal advisor and advocate on NASA technology policy and programs, helping plot the strategic direction of the agency’s space technology program. Prior to his current position, Terrier worked at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, Houston, as the center’s chief technologist, serving as the principal advisor to the Center Director for technology, and the Center point of contact for the Agency Chief Technologist and the Space Technology Mission Directorate. He is responsible for guiding JSC’s technology investment strategy and integrating and managing the comprehensive technology portfolio.
