The winning submissions were announced at UiPath DevCon, the company’s first virtual, global conference created by developers, for developers. The conference drew nearly 19,000 RPA developers and solution architects who gathered to expand their knowledge during technical sessions led by UiPath product managers, developers, practitioners, and experts from the UiPath customer and partner community.
The winners are:
- First Place – Team Bot Warriors (Aarti Morye, Akanksha Patil, Nikita Dhiran, Subham Kumar): Remote schooling during the pandemic has made it difficult for schools and teachers to conduct assessments effectively. This team built a bot that frees teachers of paperwork while also maintaining the assessment process. It automates the process of accepting descriptive, free text or scanned copies of answers given by students in an exam, extracts the data from them, automatically evaluates the answers, automatically scores the answers, automatically creates report cards, and emails them to the student or the parent. And, all this occurs while the teacher has full control over the process.
- Second Place – Team RAYS (Nisarg Kadam, Shrippad Mhaddalkar): By enhancing the customer experience through near real-time feedback, businesses are able to increase customer satisfaction scores and boost loyalty. This team built a bot that extracts handwritten feedback for an auto-service center and provides sentiment analysis for the feedback shared. The bot further integrates with social media platforms and posts the feedback on the customers’ page if the consent is provided. It also integrates with Outlook and sends a ‘thank you’ and ‘recovery’ email to positive and negative feedback provided by the customer.
- Third Place – Team The Guns (Gunnar David): Customer acquisition is critical for businesses of all sizes. This team built out a platform to capture relevant data with StudioX and has automated the manual process involved to provide recommendations on which customer to be acquired next. This automation increases speed in converting potential new leads and makes recommendations for lead acquisition faster and easier.
- Most Innovative – Team Robo Diviners (Sudhir Seth, Manoj Batra, Ishmeet Bindra, Sheetal Bhat): With so many options choosing a rewards credit card, this team tackled the problem of why people do not take advantage of credit card reward points. They created a bot that offers personalized voucher recommendations to the customer, automatically predicts the next shopping category of customer, and recommends a voucher based on their needs.

“HyperHack marks a new benchmark for the UiPath Community because for the first time, we challenged our community to build out a project using at least three UiPath products within their hack,” said Bobby Patrick, Chief Marketing Officer at UiPath. “Given the number of new products we have released in the past year, we are thoroughly impressed that our community has matured fast to become experts in our expanded platform, leveraging all of our community resources, including UiPath Academy, documentation, meetups, and forums.”
