Actifio Expands Partnership with IBM for Cyber Resilience Solutions
IBM leverages Actifio’s data management technology to enhance its disaster recovery capabilities for recovery from cyber outages
Actifio, the world’s leading enterprise Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) software provider, today announced the expansion of its partnership with IBM, including the availability of a new cyber resilience capability by integrating closely with IBM Resiliency Orchestration software.
As part of this partnership, the new capability called Cyber Incident Recovery from IBM combines Actifio’s copy data management (CDM) technology with its immutable storage, disaster recovery automation and reporting platforms to help organizations rapidly recover clean and immutable copies of data, restore application services and resume standard business operations quickly during or after disruptive cyber incidents.

As history has shown, it’s not “if” an organization’s data will be breached, but “when”. According to Online Trust Alliance, the number of cyber incidents nearly doubled to 160,000 in 2017 from the previous year, costing the global economy as much as $600 billion.
Cyber Incident Recovery for Data and Cyber Incident Recovery for Platform Configuration are new capabilities included in the 7.3 release of IBM Resiliency Orchestration, the market-leading software to simplify and orchestrate disaster recovery processes and workflows.
