Sudhir Verma Joins Applied Insight to Lead Sales of Award-Winning Cloud Products Altitude and Shift

Applied Insight, a market leader in solving complex technology challenges for federal government customers, announced the hiring of Sudhir Verma as product sales director. Verma will be responsible for the sales of Altitude Managed Cloud and SHIFT, two award-winning cloud products designed by Applied Insight engineers to empower government agencies and the technology companies that serve them with greater access to and use of highly secure cloud environments.

Applied Insight acquired several intellectual property-focused technology companies over the past two years, expanding its portfolio to include the proprietary technology products Altitude and SHIFT. Each product offers federal customers the improved ability to address cloud transformation and application development within strictly controlled national security cloud environments.

• Altitude is a turnkey cloud management platform as a service that automates the setup and control of highly secure cloud infrastructure. It has been adopted by national security customers for remote work, including research and capabilities development. Altitude was a winner of the 2019 Government Innovation Awards hosted by Public Sector 360 together with Defense Systems, FCW, GCN and Washington Technology.
• SHIFT is an emulation platform that enables low-side development, testing and remediation of software destined for classified missions, which provides a tremendously powerful solution for teams working remotely due to the pandemic and enables commercial-sector talent from Silicon Valley and other locations to support the U.S. national security mission. Applied Insight received a Top Innovator award for SHIFT recently at the 2020 Government Innovation Awards.

Applied Insight’s cloud expertise and products have been an important part of its growth strategy, resulting in the company recently earning a ranking of No. 47 on this year’s Washington Business Journal’s Fastest Growing Companies list.

Verma has an extensive background in selling and delivering cloud and mission IT technologies to federal customers. Prior to joining Applied Insight, he held sales leadership roles at several leading technology companies in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, including Accelera Solutions and EMC. Verma’s earlier career included nearly a decade as a sales and services leader for Hewlett-Packard, where he built and led a high-performance team to sell and deliver complex IT solutions to Fortune 500 clients.

Verma earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and information systems from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
