MercuryGate’s Best-in-Class TMS Receives Global Recognition for Industry Leading Security Safeguards and Controls
Type 2 SOC 1 and SOC 2 recognition assures MercuryGate customers their sensitive data receives premier protection
MercuryGate International, the largest and rapidly growing independent transportation management system (TMS) provider, announced its award-winning TMS has achieved the highest Service Organization Controls (SOC) designation with a Type 2 SOC 2 examination following a rigorous, 12-month independent review.
The SOC reporting framework is a globally recognized cybersecurity risk management control report intended to inform customers about the effective design and proper implementation of security controls. The report reviews service providers for security, availability, process integrity, confidentiality and privacy.

MercuryGate TMS Type 2 SOC 1 and Type 2 SOC 2 Examinations
For the fourth year in a row MercuryGate’s TMS application has successfully completed a Type 2 SOC 1 examination, and now adds a Type 2 SOC 2 examination in 2020, validated by independent CPA firm Schellman & Company, LLC. MercuryGate participates in SOC examinations to validate its IT network is secure, available, works as expected and protects customer data while providing confidentiality. The Type 2 SOC 2 examination – comprised of a review period of October 1, 2019 – September 30, 2020 and the evaluation of a set of criteria called the Trust Services Categories – assessed MercuryGate for security, availability, and confidentiality protocols for customer data.
“For the fourth year in a row, MercuryGate’s completion of the SOC examination shows their annual dedication to security and their clients,” said Jason Rhoades, Principal at Schellman & Company. “The completion of a SOC examination is no small achievement. This assessment required MercuryGate to maintain and operate its controls consistently for the entire period under review.”
