Experiencing speed and scalability issues with its previous vendor, the company recognized the need to expand data storage capacity, improve processing speed, provide real-time information and optimize internal processing.
“The new Vertica analytics deployment augmented existing services with additional nodes on an as-needed basis available on several cloud platforms, helping to avoid vendor lock-in or limited cloud service options. This was extremely important for Wandera as the company has been experiencing high year-on-year growth with the need for a solution that has the capacity and flexibility to expand with the company as they broaden their markets,” said Barbara Peck, principal analyst at Nucleus Research.

Nucleus quantified the initial and ongoing costs of software, hardware, personnel and training to calculate the bank’s total investment in Vertica. Direct benefits quantified included the elimination of legacy software license costs, and the avoidance of additional IT hires.
