Telestax Launches a New Point of Presence (PoP) in India to Further Extend Network Penetration for CPaaS Enablement
Telestax, the leading provider of CPaaS enablement to global communications companies, announced a new point of presence (PoP) in India. With a population exceeding 1.3 billion, India is the world’s second largest mobile market and this latest expansion is further evidence of the Telestax commitment to creating the right infrastructure, capabilities, and support for the world’s largest telecommunications companies to bring CPaaS to global markets and enterprises.
With a PoP in North America for the Americas, a second in Japan to service the Asia Pacific region, and another in Europe, Telestax has added the India PoP to service the expanding South Asia market and its growing base of international operators. By adding distribution across three new AWS availability zones, Telestax CPaaS enablement now covers 12 zones within four geographic regions around the world.

“We were able to develop the PoP in ten weeks, after beginning work in early February. This PoP increases our worldwide service deployment coverage, allowing us to offer CPaaS enablement services in India, all in accordance with local regulations,” said Jean Deruelle, VP Engineering & CTO at Telestax.
In addition to expanding coverage, Telestax architected the PoP with an eye to reliability and secure service delivery.
“We took the opportunity to improve scalability, redundancy, and security,” said Deruelle. “As is the case with our other PoPs, Direct Connect integration with our India PoP offers improved latency and security with data encryption at rest. Now, with this expansion, Telestax is well-positioned to offer CPaaS services to the growing global market. Service providers around the world can partner with Telestax to begin offering new communications applications and features to their enterprise and business customers.”

- Number Masking
- Call Queuing
- Programmable Messaging
- And More
With the distribution of four POPs, Telestax continues to provide the most robust infrastructure for CPaaS enablement. The company is one of the only firms in the world focused on equipping telecommunications service providers with the ability to quickly deploy a CPaaS platform to their enterprise user base. This ensures that service providers can compete in the market for CPaaS services, providing their enterprise customers with key advantages against traditional CPaaS players, such as superior network quality, better business support, and competitive pricing.
“In the past year, Telestax has signed up 10 major communications providers to deliver CPaaS services to their customers,” said Kevin Nethercott, Chief Revenue Officer for Telestax. “Operators are ensuring that they are not left behind in this growing market and can monetize these services, because they offer a superior advantage in the marketplace compared to traditional players. Telestax delivers the interconnection capabilities, the full platform plus turnkey applications, and complete sales enablement to ensure their sales team is equipped and ready to sell. The addition of our India PoP furthers our promise to our customers for superior technology.”
