Johns Creek and Airspace Partner for Drone Safety
Airspace Link Inc. is a provider of safe, legal and efficient drone operations for pilots, communities and businesses alike. Johns Creek city has partnered with Airspace to launch the FLYSAFE program for helping drone pilots’ flights to be safe and compliant under the FAA or the Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
Johns Creek is Georgia’s first municipality that is launching the FLYSAFE program under which FAA data will be integrated with the city’s mapping services to secure the drone pilots against populated areas and ground hazards. Nick O’Day, the Chief Data Officer of the city said, this project offering an interactive tool for managing safe drone operations will be the first in the southeast. This technology of Airspace Link makes it very convenient for both commercial and recreational pilots to get their FAA clearance before taking off.
