Nutanix Launches Federal Innovation Lab in Collaboration with Cyxtera, Intel and Other Tech Partners
Nutanix, the leader in cloud software and hyperconverged technology, announced its partnership with Cyxtera, the global data center leader. The first Nutanix Launches Federal Innovation Lab will be launched soon, powered by Cyxtera’s digital exchange and Enterprise Bare Metal. The lab is located in a Cyxtera data center in Northern Virginia, will provide a cloud-like environment to safely test mission-critical applications and build proofs of concepts.
Built in collaboration with Intel and other leading solution providers, the Nutanix Federal Innovation Lab aims to provide an ecosystem of on-demand, dynamic and seamless capabilities at scale to support the testing of demanding workload requirements. The Lab is a dedicated space for catalyzing the journey to hybrid culture for US government agency’s IT environments. The U.S. Government customers will be able to confirm their acquisition needs and meet operations objectives more efficiently, explains Chip George, VP at Nutanix Public Sector.

The Lab shall provide “resources to the continued exploration, adoption, and productization of Intel’s latest innovations in compute, networking, memory and storage with the Nutanix software stack” says Leo Taddeo, the President of Federal Group at Cyxtera. He added Federal agencies have been constrained to test the latest technologies until now, due to the security guidelines. This is a solution – without loss of control.
Working with next-generation hybrid multicloud environment is made possible with this Innovation Lab. The environment will simulate the requirements of FedRAMP High controls on a single operating platform to build and test solutions for mission-critical applications.

Intel Xeon Scalable processors and Intel Optane persistent memory, the latest Intel technologies will be used to address mission critical challenges.
