Everything You Want to Know about Salesforce’s Dreamforce 2021
Marketers know, if it’s Salesforce, it’s big. And, if it’s Dreamforce, it’s going to be massive. That’s exactly what Dremforce 2021 is slated to be, making a comeback of sorts after giving a miss last year. Each Dreamforce is a special event, and we love the buzz associated with reporting the developments ahead and during the mega tech fest. This year, things would be very different if you are planning to attend.
Do you want to know more about the event?
In this useful guide on Dreamforce 2021, you will find useful information about the event, agenda, and must-attend programs.
What is Dreamforce 2021?
Salesforce Dreamforce 2021 – the most sought-after conference for marketers and martech developers is barely a few days away. The Dreamforce 2021 (DF21) will be Salesforce’s first major global conference in nearly 2 years, since Dreamforce 2019. This is DF’s 19th edition. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was canceled in 2020.
Who Should Attend?
Salesforce calls Dreamforce as its global family reunion for all its stakeholders. Dreamforce doesn’t have bias or restrictions against anyone who wishes to attend. You have to be 18+ years of age to attend the event, in-person or online. If you are just starting your career now or planning to switch to Marketing Technologies / App Development / Cloud computing space, Dreamforce 2021 provides ample scope for thinking, implementing, and maneuvering past traditional challenges, chaos and confusion involved in the IT SaaS and Cloud industry.
DF21 is best suited for:
- CEOs, CMOs of marketing and sales organizations
- IT and DevOps teams
- Owners and partners of software development and servicing companies
- Programmers, data scientists, and analysts working in the AI ML and Deep Learning fields
- Business analytics and business intelligence groups
- Head of IT and Cloud computing Departments
- Head of Marketing, Customer Services and CX departments of companies servicing to medical and healthcare, education, fintech, martech, HR Tech, Salestech and ITops industries
- Open-source developers and engineers
- Students, trainers, and other professionals interested in IT, DevOps, and Marketing or CX management.
I have interacted with professionals from the Sports advertising, gaming, and blockchain communities as well, who genuinely feel DF21 is one event they would love to visit at least once in their lifetime. Many more believe that Salesforce should do this gig more often in a year. One is just not enough! Given the COVID-19, we understand, once a year is just enough for now.
A lot has changed for the technology community between Dreamforce 2019 and now. The greatest change itself would be the organizer’s decision to go fully digital and virtual with DF21 with very limited in-person registrations, making it the first global technology event to be streamed live across countries in different time zones. To make it possible, Salesforce even launched a dedicated on-demand business content streaming channel, Salesforce Plus, earlier this month.
For years, Dreamforce has been a marketer’s must-attend event, even as the conference boasts of highly engaging interactions, DevOps demonstrations and workshops encompassing the finest nuances related to Martech, Business Intelligence, AI and Machine Learning, IT Ops, and Application development. For its in-house community of developers, called Trailblazers, Salesforce always reserves the best seat in the house to exemplify their smart engineering and engaging product development roadmaps.
Salesforce Dreamforce 2021 Dates
This year’s Dreamforce edition will be a three-day event. Dreamforce 2021 will be taking place in San Francisco and cities around the world, including New York City, London, and Paris, both in-person and digitally from September 21-23, 2021 in the Americas and EMEA, and from September 22-24 in the APAC region.
The global event will be live-streamed on Salesforce+ where attendees can be part of the 150k+ technology community, getting direct access to highly professional business content delivered by luminary speakers, customer success experts, and AI leaders.
At the time of DF21’s announcement in May 2021, Sarah Franklin, President and Chief Marketing Officer, Salesforce had said, “We’re thrilled to bring Dreamforce back as an in-person experience, and we can’t wait to bring all our Trailblazers together for a completely new brand experience. Whether you join us in person or online, it will be the most innovative and immersive Dreamforce ever — another example of how, in this new all-digital world, we can achieve success from anywhere.”
Dreamforce 2021’s theme is “Success Anywhere, Dreamforce Everywhere”, and the live event is already generating tremendous hype around Salesforce’s legacy of providing innovative, inspirational and cutting-edge experiences across a global viewership.

DF21 is absolutely free to register.
Here’s the signup page to attend the event.
Moreover, Salesforce is also inviting 10 US-based attendees to join the organizers at the global headquarters in SF. Winners of the sweepstakes round will be given tickets to fly to the event at SF.
Safety and Quarantine
Salesforce is taken all the necessary steps at DF2021, prioritizing health and safety due to the heightened risks of COVID-19 infections. All attendees are required to be the fully-vaccinated and must follow the public health guidelines laid down by the US government.
Dr. Larry Brilliant, a world-renowned epidemiologist is working with Salesforce to ensure industry best practices in health and safety are followed before, during and after the event to create genuine experiences without harming health protocols.
Dr. Larry Brilliant said, “We’re excited to work with Salesforce to bring Dreamforce safely back to San Francisco and other cities around the world. By implementing the appropriate COVID-19 safety protocols, we can create a safe and healthy environment for the Trailblazer community attending the events.”
