After conducting an exhaustive evaluation of vendors and their products in the identity management and governance (IMG) market, Forrester gave SailPoint the top ranking in all three evaluation categories: Current Offering, Strategy, and Market Presence.

In the Current Offering category, SailPoint’s Identity Platform received the highest possible score in 9 of the 11 criteria, such as role management, cloud and SaaS governance, and application integrations and automations. According to the Forrester report, scoring a 5.0 out of a possible 5.0 points in the cloud and SaaS governance criterion means, “The vendor has superior capabilities relative to others in this evaluation for managing identities, access rights, entitlements for access to cloud platforms (especially for IT admins and developers) and for SaaS applications. Reference clients validated the strength of capabilities in these areas.”

For the Strategy category, SailPoint received the highest possible score across 5 of the 7 criteria evaluated. According to the Forrester report, scoring a 5.0 out of a possible 5.0 points in the supporting products and services criterion means, “The vendor has superior supporting products and services with a strong track record of supporting the end-to-end needs of customers with support services, consulting, implementation capabilities, training and certifications, user community, and other tools.”
