Today, on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from 10:00am to 11:30am ET, Congressman Jim Himes (CT-04), the Chairman of the U.S. House Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth, will hold a bipartisan roundtable event with economic experts on the measurement of economic well-being to better understand the nature and extent of various forms of economic disparity. This event will also serve as an opportunity for Select Committee members to learn more about the limitations of existing, aggregated economic measures, and how greater use of more disaggregated data would better contextualize patterns of inequality and better inform policy development most likely to reduce disparities and promote inclusive growth.

A livestream of this in-person roundtable will be available on YouTube and the Select Committee’s website.
