ADTRAN’s Gary Bolton Selected to Join Next Leadership Alabama Class Dedicated to Investing in State’s Future
Statewide Program Focused on Creating Network of Relationships to Better Understand Problems and Priorities for Alabama’s Future
ADTRAN, Inc., a leading provider of next-generation open networking and subscriber experience solutions, announced its Vice President of Global Marketing, Gary Bolton, has been selected to join the Leadership Alabama Class “XXX” for the 2019-2020 program year. Bolton will join 66 other forward-thinking leaders to act individually, and in concert, to move Alabama forward.

“Much of the driving force behind what we do at ADTRAN is focused on cultivating and supporting the continued growth and development of Alabama through our co-op and training programs and philanthropic efforts,” Bolton said. “I look forward to having the opportunity to collaborate with my fellow members to strategize and implement programs designed to create a better future for Alabama.”

Leadership Alabama gives established leaders across Alabama exposure to the broader fabric of the state. During the program year, class members will convene in Birmingham, Huntsville, Mobile and Montgomery, where they will hear challenging presentations and participate in class discussions that encourage them to make critical and thoughtful assessments of the state and its issues, while learning of initiatives aimed at addressing those issues.

“The Leadership Alabama Class XXX encompasses the top leaders and agents of change in Alabama,” Leadership Alabama board chairman Gordon Martin said. “We are excited to see what we can accomplish this year as we continue to work to create a state that fosters innovation and growth today and in the decades to come.”
Since its founding in 1990, over 1500 citizen leaders in Alabama have participated in the Leadership Alabama program. These members are selected based on their leadership abilities, career accomplishments, volunteer activities, contributions to their communities and commitment to help shape a better Alabama.
