Masayoshi Son, speaking at the SoftBank World Business Conference on Wednesday, forecasted the arrival of artificial general intelligence (AGI) within the next decade. AGI is an AI that is smarter than people and can surpass humans in a wide variety of tasks.
He predicts that by the year 2029, AI will reach the level of human general intelligence.

He has also expressed optimism that AGI (artificial intelligence that surpasses human intelligence in practically all domains) will be realized within the next decade.
