OpenAI Is Working On GPT-5
GPT-5 is likely to be more sophisticated
Following the release of GPT-4 Turbo, OpenAI is developing GPT-5 invisibly. According to an FT report, Sam Altman stated that the training procedure for GPT-5 will require a greater quantity of data. Altman elucidated that the origin of this data would be a combination of privately held datasets and publicly accessible datasets from the internet.
Altman stated that while GPT-5 is likely to be more sophisticated than its antecedents, it is technically impossible to foretell precisely what new abilities and skills it will possess.
According to sources with knowledge of the discussions, Microsoft invested $10 billion in OpenAI earlier this year as part of a “multi-year” agreement, valuing the San Francisco-based company at $29 billion.
