AI Monitoring And The Paw Squad Is The New Lifeguard

AI Aurus Is The New Lifeguard

To aid lifesavers, Aurus is a self-driving robot that was created to warn visitors at high tide and monitor large areas that are off-limits to swimming. The new structure will aid in supervising the beaches more closely and controlling the crowds.

The decision was made just days after reports surfaced of two individuals drowning in Goa. A group of four individuals were reportedly taking selfies on Sunday night when they were washed away by a wave on April 2023, resulting in two deaths and two kids going missing. A representative from Drishti Marine further stated that two AI systems, Aurus and Triton, were being fine-tuned to aid beach lifesavers.

Aid Beach Lifesavers

The Goan government’s official lifesaving agency said that the state’s beaches will soon have canines trained to sniff out humans and help find missing youngsters. In the presence of state tourism minister Rohan Khaunte, an official from Drishti Marine announced the training of a unique team of eleven dogs, dubbed the “paw squad.” This project is reportedly the first of its type in Asia. They are being prepared to find youngsters who have gone missing on beaches, search and rescue in rocky regions, and identify and help people in distress, as stated in the article. Expert dog trainer Arjun Shawn Moitra is preparing to send the paw squad to high-density beaches for their initial deployment.
