“It’s a step towards a more intelligent, automated model of website operations, where teams can spend less time managing infrastructure and more time delivering value to their clients.”
As agencies take on increasingly complex WordPress workloads, operational overhead has emerged as a critical bottleneck to growth. Managing updates, monitoring performance, and maintaining security across dozens of sites requires significant manual effort, making it difficult to scale efficiently. This expanding scope is reflected in Cloudways’ data, which shows that more than 50% of customers now manage 16 or more websites, highlighting the scale and complexity agencies face as they grow.
Cloudways Site Manager helps address this challenge by centralizing key workflows into a unified, native platform, eliminating the need for fragmented tools and manual coordination. By bringing site operations into a single interface, it helps agencies streamline day-to-day management, reduce operational overhead, and improve delivery speed across client portfolios.
Early demand reflects a strong market need, with more than 15,000 applications joining the Public Preview program and over 4,000 users onboarded.
Built in partnership with BlogVault, Site Manager provides a unified interface for managing updates, monitoring site health, and maintaining performance across WordPress environments. Automated workflows, safe deployment mechanisms, and one-click rollback capabilities help reduce risk and site failures, giving agencies greater confidence when operating at scale.
Unlike plugin-based or fragmented management solutions, Site Manager is natively integrated into the Cloudways platform, enabling centralized control without added complexity or performance trade-offs. This unified approach allows agencies to operate more efficiently while consolidating their hosting and management workflows into a single system.
By simplifying routine operations, Site Manager helps agencies reduce time spent on maintenance, improve client turnaround times, and enable focus on higher-value work, ultimately increasing productivity and margins across large site portfolios.
Suhaib Zaheer, SVP of Managed Hosting at DigitalOcean and GM at Cloudways, commented, “Agencies are no longer just building websites, they’re operating at scale. As portfolios grow, the operational burden increases quickly. Site Manager is designed to remove that friction by centralizing workflows and automating critical tasks. It’s a step towards a more intelligent, automated model of website operations, where teams can spend less time managing infrastructure and more time delivering value to their clients.”
The launch of Site Manager strengthens Cloudways’ position in the WordPress hosting and management space by providing a unified solution that reduces reliance on fragmented tools and manual processes.
Site Manager is part of Cloudways’ broader roadmap to simplify and automate website operations through integrated, intelligent workflows, helping agencies scale more efficiently without increasing operational complexity.
