Accusonus Gets Fund to Sanitize Audio with AI

Accusonus an AI company that helps content creators improve the audio recording and editing experience has raised $3.3 million in Series A funding. The company has bases in the US and Greece, and the funding was led by Athens-based Venture Friends. The others were Big Pi, IQBility, PJ Tech. Michael Tzannes former CEO of Aware Inc also funds the company.

Works as Plug-In

The company was among the first to introduce Machine Learning audio processing products into the market in 2014. Its products were learnedly used by sound engineers working for top artists like Bob Dylan and Jennifer Lopez.

Their first product was the world’s first drum bleed suppression tool. Another product named Regroover uses AI to unmix audio loops into stems and enables new beat-making workflows.

The latest products the company flaunts is an ERA Bundle. It allows both entry-level and professional creators to enhance their audio recordings. It is a collection of plug-ins for swift and efficient audio repair. The plug-in can work with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut, Avid Pro Tools, Apple Logic Pro, Da Vinci Resolve, Audacity and Garage Band.

AI, Your Virtual Band Member

Another application, Rhythmiq, a beat assistant act as a virtual band member. It tracks the performance using built-in Reverse, Arranges and Silence effects. It can be used to generate fills, breaks, and build-ups from layered stems, or from a beat you’ve chosen to import. The interface is comprised of many adjustable knobs, which can be mapped to MIDI controllers

Accusonus sees hope in podcasters and even the people recording on smartphones who looking for products to sanitize their recording. With the new funding, the company hopes to democratize access to high-quality audio.
