InCloudCounsel Announces Mitch Spierer as VP of Product
The legal technology company adds its first ever VP of Product to grow its product team and expand its reach
InCloudCounsel, a legal technology company with a leading global solution that frees large enterprises from routine legal work, announced the hiring of Mitch Spierer as VP of Product.
Spierer joins InCloudCounsel after almost six years working as a product leader at Doximity, a healthcare technology company, where he led the core platform and data teams along with a number of major product initiatives. He received his B.S. from Stanford in Symbolic Systems, a mix of computer science, cognitive science, AI and human-computer interaction and went on to get his J.D. from the University of Southern California. Spierer is also currently licensed to practice law in the State of California.
The need for this hire stemmed from InCloudCounsel’s continuous high rate of growth, which has led to the company now servicing customers across an increasing number of diverse industries including asset management, investment banking, and commercial real estate.

Spierer’s leadership will benefit all of InCloudCounsel’s product end-users by pursuing opportunities that continue to push the envelope with regard to increasing process efficiencies and delivering greater customer value. This will be accomplished by continued investment in AI and machine learning, optimizing the user experience to streamline workflows, and through building out new functionality and reporting capabilities to help its customers exact even more value from their business and legal data.
“I’ve always had a passion for both law and technology. Being a lawyer myself, I’m able to understand the needs of InCloudCounsel’s customers through a highly-technical filter,” said Spierer. “InCloudCounsel is really special because it allows me to apply my experience in both of these spaces in deep and meaningful ways.”

“We’re thrilled to have someone of Mitch’s caliber join our team to lead our product function,” said Troy Pospisil, founder and CEO of InCloudCounsel. “His addition to the team helps to put us on track to expand our product capabilities to meet more needs of our current and future customers. In turn, we’re setting InCloudCounsel up to dramatically scale.”
“What excites me most about Mitch joining the team is his product philosophy,” said Lane Lillquist, co-founder and CTO of InCloudCounsel. “His focus on practicality, utility and customer delight aligns well with our own approach to product development. That shared philosophy and focus sets us up to deliver greater value through our software.”
