Printful’s Customer Orders Increase With the New AI Image Upscaler
Printful’s image upscaler, the Printful Smart Image Tool, is now available to its customer base. With this tool, Printful customers can have designs that aren’t high-quality enough automatically adjusted for printing. Since the launch last month, the Smart Image Tool has already helped more than nine thousand customers get their orders fulfilled with designs previously not suitable for printing.
The AI tool adjusts image quality by doubling the DPI (Dots Per Inch) of the design. As a result, the customer can make their image larger without it losing any quality.
The upscaling tool is built-in and available for free to all Printful users. When a customer uploads a design file with 38–74 DPI it automatically adjusts the image when generating print files.

“We noticed that a lot of our clients’ orders couldn’t be fulfilled due to design files not meeting our print requirements. With the Printful Smart Image Tool we want to give our customers a helping hand when it comes to meeting these requirements and increasing the chances of having their design printed. We continuously work on finding ways to make our customer journey quicker and smoother, from product design to closing a sale. Our goal is to make Printful the A-Z solution for eCommerce,” says Agnese Bite, Head of Design at Printful.
