Prior to co-founding Yellowfin, Glen worked for National Australia Bank in multiple roles, including Senior Business Consultant and Global Manager. It was here that he learned the value of enterprise data and developed his passion for data analysis. While working on the global data warehouse project at the bank, he saw firsthand the frustration that business people had working with complex data analysis tools. He decided there had to be a better way. That was the seed for Yellowfin.

Glen is now Co-Founder and CEO of Yellowfin – a global analytics and BI software vendor recognized for innovation and acknowledged as a leader in the industry by analyst firms such as Gartner, Forester, Nucleus Research and BARC. He founded Yellowfin with the mission to help business people to understand their businesses better by creating tools that were designed for business users rather than specialist data analysts. What started as a simple idea has grown into global business with clients in 75 countries, 3 million end users, customer adoption rates that are 3x higher than the rest of the industry, and five consecutive years in the Gartner Magic Quadrant. Not bad for a bootstrapped business.

The journey of building a fast-growing software business has been exciting and hugely rewarding. Glen enjoys the challenge of bringing new products to market and competing with the world’s best. Most of all, he is proud of the team he’s built - their passion and seeing the difference that the Yellowfin team has made to the analytics industry.
