MTS AI INTEMA Unveils Official Accelerator Programme And Welcomes Mentors With High-Level Experience At Google, Shazam And PayPal
INTEMA by MTS AI is pleased to announce the launch programme for its accelerator and to
unveil its roster of expert mentors that will work alongside INTEMA Accelerator start-ups to
help them scale. The programme has been designed to help develop the future leaders in the
field of artificial intelligence. It commences this January and will last 12 weeks, culminating in
a Demo Day where start-ups will present to potential investors.

INTEMA experts have developed a customized technology track for the accelerator
programme that couples technical resources including access to labs and the most powerful
supercomputer in global telecoms, with deep technical expertise including more than 80 hours
of lectures on ground-breaking trends in AI technologies, such as synthetic data and edge
computing. Similarly, start-ups participating in the accelerator will be able to choose a personal
mentor from over 45 internationally renowned experts with experience at companies such as
Google, Shazam, PayPal and other tech giants. These mentors will deliver 1-on-1 sessions
and give tailored guidance to improve each start-up’s core AI and finesse their products for
the market.
Accelerator start-ups that complete the acceleration programme will then compete for
investment from venture funds and corporations, including Nvidia, Intel, and Bosch, at the final
pitch session during the Demo Day event hosted by INTEMA. Moreover, accelerator start-ups
will be able to access INTEMA investments amounting to $100,000 per project, with the most
successful projects being eligible to apply for an additional investment package of up to
$500,000 from an INTEMA investment fund.
The acceleration of AI start-ups is one of INTEMA’s investment strategy tools. Its primary goal
is to scout the best teams and bring together successful entrepreneurs, developers, aspiring
scientists and visionaries, as well as business customers of AI technologies, to give them
every possible tool to build a pipeline of next generation AI products.
INTEMA data scientists and developers will help to evaluate and improve participating start-
ups’ underlying technology. Beyond this the accelerator will provide start-ups with access to
the expertise of 45 world-class mentors, including:
• Jonas Vang Gregersen, a former tech executive with 20 years of in-depth experience
discovering, building, and launching products at start-ups and global tech giants. Jonas
worked with Google as the company was evolving from a small California start-up to a
global organization.
- Christian Michio, a software product manager and entrepreneur that was responsible for
building the IT foundation for the iconic music recognition service Shazam. Christian also
worked as a lead product manager at Google during the company’s rapid growth phase. - Eldar Sadikov, a tech founder of a SaaS start-up that has built and scaled massive cloud-
based machine learning products. Eldar has deep domain expertise in e-commerce
pioneering and was an architect of the Shopping platform at PayPal.
• Alberto Levi an international MBA professor at IE Business School and a start-up mentor
at the Founder Institute. Levy has worked in more than 15 countries, in 1,500 projects,
including many Fortune 500 companies. He was recognised as an ‘Innovation Evangelist’
at the Harvard Business Review Summit.

- Timur Daudpota, an angel investor and EIR at 500 Start-ups that is also a mentor for the
Hult P**** and Netpreneur P**** Initiatives at the Alibaba Group. Timur has experience
working with 400+ start-ups and has worked with iconic brands from Disney and Burger
King, to Coca-Cola. - Cathy Jeffries King, an AI expert and author that consults global corporations and
regularly speaks at TEDx international education platform sessions worldwide, and is the
author of Using Artificial Intelligence in Marketing: How to Use AI and Maintain a
Competitive Advantage.
The 12-week programme will begin with a diagnostic session where the accelerator’s experts
will work with participants to review the current state of their business and the technological
benefits of the product. A separate stream of the programme will be devoted to fundraising;
founders will learn first-hand how to convince investors to invest in their idea. Elsewhere, the
accelerator’s experts will teach founders to perform client research, shape an effective
development strategy, build effective business models, hand pick the right talent, and promote
their projects in diverse markets.
The cohort of start-ups will have access to the full roster of INTEMA Accelerator mentors,
ensuring access to a breadth of expertise from a range of industries and technical fields.
Additionally, each start-up will be assigned a lead mentor to guide it through the programme.
Accelerator participants will also enjoy special terms offered by INTEMA’s partners and by the
accelerator. For example, Nvidia will grant start-ups l**** for its technical lectures, GAN will
give coupons for a wide range of services that may be useful for the start-ups and Plug and
Play will offer networking opportunities in a huge global start-up ecosystem.
“We at INTEMA are advocating a holistic approach to building profitable disruptive AI
businesses. We are not here to simply teach our participating start-ups how to make a
presentation at the Demo Day, instead, we will provide them with a route to becoming viable
and lasting companies developing the AI tools that will become mainstream in the next
decade. Collaboration between industry-leading experts and young AI organisations is a motor
for the development of the AI tech of tomorrow and INTEMA is proud to support start-ups on
this journey,” said Aleksandr Khanin, CEO at INTEMA.
“Every start-up is unique, and our goal is to help them take their product to the next level and
secure investment. For example, if a founder wants to enter the US market, we will arrange a
one-on-one session with an American mentor with broad networking in the region among
potential partners and clients. If a start-up needs to upgrade accuracy of its key algorithm from
80% to 85%, we will hold a session with a technical subject matter expert. We believe that our
participants will acquire hands-on tools that they will be able to use later throughout their start-
up operations. Not all accelerators realise the challenges of building deep tech companies.
We are fully ready to share the expertise that we have,” said Alexey Posternak, Finance and
Investment Director at MTS AI.
