EdgeMicro Expands Leadership Team To Accelerate Nationwide Rollout
Martin Capurro Is Named Vice President and General Manager
EdgeMicro is expanding its leadership team with the addition of experienced technology executive Martin Capurro, who will serve as Vice President and General Manager of the company. Capurro has extensive go-to-market experience in telecommunications and IT infrastructure that will make him a significant asset to EdgeMicro as the company enters the implementation phase for its rollout of micro data centers at the edge.
Martin Capurro is a seasoned technology executive with a keen ability to recognize trends in IT and telecom and then drive transformative solutions that leverage cutting-edge technologies. He has led businesses and technology teams through tough hyper-growth, turn-arounds and start-up phases. Capurro will drive the development of market strategy, business operations, productization of EdgeMicro services and the evolution of the product roadmap.

Prior to joining EdgeMicro, Martin was General Manager of Long View US and was responsible for transitioning the business from transactional HW/SW resell model to high-value managed services and management consulting. In 2011, Martin was a key player in the CenturyLink acquisition of Savvis and went on to manage Cloud & Managed Services products for the combined company, resulting in CenturyLink achieving a leadership position in Cloud services as acknowledged by Gartner, IDC, and Forrester. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Product & Development for the Qwest Hosting & Cloud business, leading the transition from colocation to higher-value services.
