What is the Citrix X1 Mouse?

Keeping in mind the growing demand for an ergonomically designed mouse for the remote workstations during the COVID-19, global technology giant Citrix released its Citrix X1 mouse. Citrix X1 Mouse is a business-only hardware tool that is designed to work with Citrix Receiver on an iOS/ iPad. X1 Mouse is not a consumer product, as Citrix admits on the products page.

What is Citrix X1 Mouse?

Physical Description

Citrix X1 Mouse is a 2-button wireless Scroll wheel-cum-Laser Sensor device designed specifically for Apple iOS.

It is laced with a Bluetooth 4.0 BLE module that has a maximum operating distance of 10 meters and performs at 1200 fps/ up to 30 inches per second. X1 delivers a movement resolution of up to 2000 dpi. A simple mouse has a sensitive factor of less than 500 dpi. Mouse with gaming features has a sensitivity factor of 1600 dpi. With 2000 dpi resolution, X1 is perfect gaming hardware, though it’s not designed to perform just that.

The Citrix X1 Mouse is a powerful hand-held ergonomically advanced device that is designed to help mobile workforces connect their Windows app and desktop experience on an iPad.   • Citrix Receiver – v5.9.5 or higher
  • Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop Compatibility – All Versions
  • Citrix Enterprise Mobile Apps – GoToMyPC, WorxDesktop and ShareConnect

Other than these, the Citrix X1 Mouse doesn’t support any mouse operation with the iOS interface or other vendor applications.

Currently, the X1 Mouse is available in these countries —

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, the UK, and the USA.
