Pangea Cup Partners With Subnation to Build Indie Video Game Competition and Community
Legendary Sports Agent David Falk and Unikrn Co-Founder Karl Flores Join Industry Experts to Manage a Global Program to Discover New Creators and Games
The organizers of the Pangea Cup announced a partnership with Subnation, a leading media and marketing company covering the culture of gaming and lifestyle of esports, to launch the world’s first global indie video game development competition. Supported by a team of gaming, sports, marketing and tech leaders, the Pangea Cup is a business catalyst focused on discovering, cultivating, publishing and distributing the next generation of indie video games. Subnation is a partner in the property and will serve as the production company as well as provide marketing services for the series and competition.
The creators of Pangea Cup recognized the opportunity to curate talented up-and-coming game developers who lacked a clear path to successfully bring their unique games to market. The team includes: David Falk, legendary sports agent, who serves as president; Karl Flores, co-founder of Unikrn and esports entrepreneur, as co-founder; Nir Ben Lavi, investor and entrepreneur, as CEO and co-founder; hi-tech and sports tech executive Dr. Ilan Hadar as COO and managing partner; Olympian and sports entrepreneur Garrett Klugh as managing partner; Amber Allen, video game industry thought leader and founder of Double A Labs, as partner; and TSA Group CEO Marcus Luer as partner.
“There are more than 15 million undiscovered game developers around the world with innovative, mind-blowing dynamic game concepts that can engage billions of gamers and become blockbusters. said David Falk. “With Subnation as our partner, the Pangea Cup will accelerate the development, financing and marketing of the most exciting, yet-to-be-discovered games.”
