MyGate Forays into ‘Community Omnicommerce’ with Launch of MyGate Exclusives
Bengaluru-based security and community management app startup MyGate has announced its foray into ‘‘Community Omnicommerce’ with the launch of MyGate Exclusives. The launch is set to enable over 15000 societies in 2.5 million+ urban homes to take advantage of collective buying power.
The section has gained significant traction during its six-week soft launch, with a third of daily users exploring the unique offerings. At present, more than 80 emerging and national brands have been onboarded across categories, and by March 2021, MyGate plans to enroll over 200 brands. Over the forthcoming two quarters, the firm has also a plan to address other community-specific gaps that exist in the broader commerce landscape such as group buying for communities and a resident-to-resident marketplace.

With the launch of MyGate Exclusive, MyGate is curating unique and innovative products and services that resonate most strongly with residents of housing societies across multiple categories centered around the home, such as Home Solutions, Home Essentials, and Health @ Home. Over the coming months, MyGate plans to strengthen partner onboarding in Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi-NCR, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Pune, and ultimately be the one-stop solution for all community needs and the platform that facilitates all interactions between the larger world and housing societies.
Commenting on this new venture, Mr. Abhishek Kumar, COO & Co-founder, MyGate said, “These are interesting times to be in the community management space, as the threat of COVID has brought about huge behavioral shifts among residents. These shifts have helped us realize the demand for commerce tailored to the gated community resident, and MyGate Exclusives is the first proposition to be born out of this realization. We are happy to see our users responding positively and are confident that our strong customer understanding will power this and many more initiatives to greater success in the future.”
Mr. Shreyas Nagdawane, Co-founder of grocery delivery service Supr Daily, says, “Gated communities are a great opportunity for us to reach a sizeable audience. We are glad to have such an effective medium to interact directly with customers looking for a daily solution for their grocery needs.”
Mr. Sundeep Goswami, Director – Sales, RESONATE, which manufactures a power back-up device for Wi-Fi routers, says, “It is challenging for any brand to find the right audience. MyGate gives us the ability to reach a very relevant and homogenized audience of gated community residents. This makes it among the most efficient digital media channels available. We are extremely happy with initial results and look forward to a long working relationship.”
