Oazis to Hold a Virtual Demo Day on September 15 Showcasing Groundbreaking Technologies of Its Six Portfolio Companies in the Fields of Health, Advertising, Sustainability and Software
Yazamut360, the entrepreneurship center of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), announces the launch of its Oazis Accelerator. Powered by IMB Alpha Zone, Oazis is an academy-based accelerator that leverages BGU’s advantages in technology and entrepreneurship to grow deep-tech startups. Managed by Michel Assayag, Oazis is working in collaboration with BGN Technologies, the technology transfer company of BGU.

On Sep. 15, Oazis will hold a virtual domo day in which it will introduce the startups of its 1st cohort. These include six innovative startups in various fields including MedTech, AdTech, Sustainability and Software development. Prof. Carmel Sofer, Chairman of Yazamut360 said, “The Oazis accelerator enables BGU’s leading researchers to broaden their understanding in business-related aspects and in translating the knowledge developed in the labs into business initiatives. It is noteworthy that since the beginning of the year we recorded a 30% increase, compared to the corresponding period in 2019, in the number of patent applications based on research from BGU. This is a testament to the burst of innovation and entrepreneurship of the ecosystem surrounding the university, of which Oazis is a part of, and which will lead to regional growth and transformation of the Negev into a center of knowledge, innovation and technology.”
