“When we look at what changed in the workplace this year, one thing is astoundingly clear: the digital experience matters”

Findings from the data report that compiled data from over 1,000 Canadian small to medium-sized businesses suggest that COVID-19 has completely shifted the way that employees work, take time off, and change roles. Key findings include:

  • Canadians took 40% less time off in 2020, compared to 2019
  • Only 21% of C-suite positions are held by women
  • Women made up only 30% of the tech workforce in 2020
  • The average Canadian salary has dropped 4.5% since the COVID-19 pandemic started in Canada in March 2020
  • On average, Gen Z employees spent 15% less time in a role than millennials
