VoltDB and Google Cloud are working together on 5G Edge Applications
VoltDB, a leading enterprise data platform that enables fast data decision making, announced that it will join Google Cloud’s 5G Edge / ISV partner initiative. As part of this initiative, VoltDB will make its data management capabilities available in Google Cloud, with Anthos serving as a platform for delivering applications and solutions to the network edge.

As global companies increasingly perform their core business functions in the cloud, they have many options for using 5G-based cloud functions on the edge of their networks. To meet this need, Google Cloud unveiled its telecommunications strategy in early 2020 , which includes plans to help communication service providers (CSPs) monetize the edge for business services and to collaborate with partners like AT&T to move Google Cloud functions at the edge provide the AT&T network.
