Cepton Technologies Names Neil Huntingdon as Vice President of Business Development

With Huntingdon Appointment, Cepton Is Primed for Continued Growth and Customer Acquisition in 2019

Cepton Technologies, Inc., a provider of 3D LiDAR solutions for automotive, industrial and mapping applications, announced the hiring of Mr. Neil Huntingdon as Vice President of Business Development. Huntingdon will be responsible for Cepton’s business development and customer growth globally, leading a talented team across the world. Most recently, he was Vice President EMEIA at Quanergy.

Huntingdon has a lengthy career in innovative and disruptive technology business development across the image processing, industrial, IoT and embedded markets. Most recently at Quanergy, he managed all business development in the extended EMEIA market. Prior to that, he held senior sales positions at Apical (ARM), MCCI and Transdimension (Oxford Semi). Huntingdon began his career as the European Sales Director for GSI Technology and Alliance Semiconductor.

The appointment of Huntingdon closes out a successful year for Cepton. In addition to the company’s bevy of customer acquisitions, Cepton also announced a number of significant partnerships. Cepton partnered with Koito Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (TYO:7276), a leading global tier-one supplier of exterior automotive lighting, and May Mobility, the first autonomous vehicle company to replace existing transportation systems with its fleets of self-driving micro-shuttles. As Cepton expands its portfolio into 2019 and beyond, transportation will continue to be a key focus for the company, including autonomous vehicles on the road, along with off-road applications such as mining, agriculture and heavy equipment.
