MultiTech Reinforces Commitment to Data Security by Securing SOC 2 Compliance

MultiTech, a leading global supplier of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and services, announced that MultiTech DeviceHQ a cloud-based tool set for managing the latest generation of MultiTech devices and MultiTech LENS, a LoRaWAN optimized embedded network server and key management toolset, have secured SOC 2 Type 1 compliance, a rigorous compliance standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

SOC 2 (System Organizational Control) is designed to specify how organizations should manage customer data. Through the process an organization’s internal controls for privacy and information security are examined, assessing compliance at a specific point in time.

MultiTech DeviceHQ is a cloud-based tool set for managing the latest generation of MultiTech devices. It incorporates all the functionality of MultiTech Device Manager, on which so many M2M and IoT applications already rely for remote monitoring, upgrades and configuration of entire device populations – whether one or 1 million. DeviceHQ takes remote device management and maintenance to a new level, by providing an application marketplace, allowing users to browse applications or build their own then easily deploy them to and customize them for remote devices from anywhere.

MultiTech LENS is a revolutionary toolset for secure, distributed, scalable LoRaWAN enterprise networks, designed to enable easy and efficient deployment and management of private LoRaWAN networks at scale. LENS provides centralized key management for LoRaWAN end devices, and configuration and control of MultiTech Conduit gateways. LENS easily executes typical LoRaWAN network management functions such as adding gateways and LoRaWAN end devices in bulk; or creating separate organizations and network segmentation to support different IoT use cases or applications, while providing unique access rights to individual users. Whether it’s 10 or 10,000 devices, LENS provides network management at the click of a mouse button in the comfort of your network operations center (NOC) or provisioning and management center.
