Despite the global pandemic that disproportionately affected retailers, PhoenixET has significantly grown its customer base. In the third quarter of 2020, the company contracted with one of the country’s largest grocery chains and a premier health care provider, along with additional national retailer growth. After rollout, this new business will add thousands of locations to the company’s portfolio.

Glen Schrank, PhoenixET CEO remarked: “We are delighted that the market is recognizing Phoenix Energy Technologies’ contributions to reducing energy and facilities costs and greenhouse gasses, as well as improving operational efficiency. We will continue to push forward into intelligent asset management to increase our leadership in smart building technology that makes retailers, grocers, and healthcare companies even more competitive.”
PhoenixET’s new product development and continuous improvement has been a catalyst for its customer growth. This quarter, the company completed integrations with the influential OpenADR Alliance, as well as with industry leaders in demand response, CPower and Voltus. These integrations allow the company to manage even more of its customers’ demand response programs, many of which have short notification windows for participants to curtail energy consumption.
To better serve customers who have locations in multiple North American independent service operator (ISO) areas, PhoenixET is also partnering with two innovators in DR aggregation, specialists Enersponse and Leap, to provide greater program coverage and power market participation. Recent grid events in California have highlighted how PhoenixET’s work with these partners can help customers earn additional revenue while helping to stabilize the grid.

“We’re excited to complete this phase of our demand response journey. It’s another step towards fully automated adaptive energy management using the award winning Demand Manager solution,” added Schrank.
Along with increased capabilities in demand response, the company released upgrades to multiple other energy and facilities products, furthering its leadership in SaaS energy management solutions.
