Terracon wanted to bring disparate data stored separately on multiple on-premise SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) cubes into a centralized and cloud based tabular data model, providing access to over 2,000 employees and consultants via real-time reports and dynamic dashboards. CloudMoyo developed a modern, cloud-based solution in which the pipeline was designed using Azure Data Factory as an orchestration tool to move data from on-premises source systems into a central Azure Data Lake. The data was then transformed in Snowflake Data Warehouse—following the Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) pattern. The data was then modeled into a single enterprise tabular cube hosted in Azure Analysis Services which is scalable and allows unlimited expansion and growth. CloudMoyo developed business centric and actionable Power BI reports for all lines of business and organization hierarchy. These intuitive, dynamic dashboards have a self-service capability for analyzing data, bringing to life the success story of the empowerment of users at Terracon.
