Mission Cloud Achieves Cloud Governance, Cloud Financial Management and Monitoring and Observability Distinction in AWS Cloud Operations Competency

Mission Cloud, a cloud managed services provider and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Premier Tier Services Partner, announced that it has achieved the AWS Cloud Operations Competency in the following categories: Cloud Governance, Cloud Financial Management, and Monitoring and Observability. The new AWS Cloud Operations Competency allows customers to select validated AWS Partners who offer comprehensive solutions with an integrated approach across all five solution areas of Cloud Operations: Cloud Financial Management, Cloud Governance, Monitoring and Observability, Compliance and Auditing, and Operations Management. As an AWS Cloud Operations Competency Partner, Mission Cloud has demonstrated expertise in helping customers build a strong and scalable foundation for their end-to-end Cloud Operations.

IT Operations are at the heart of every organization. It can be time-consuming and challenging for customers to determine the best way to set up their organization for operational excellence. Without the right model for operating at cloud scale, organizations can struggle to balance their needs for security, compliance, and operational safety with their responsibility to boost innovation, speed, and agility. Builders can run into inefficient and siloed application development, difficult deployments that result in errors, and downtime in mission-critical applications. Many of these issues are caused by customers focusing on one area of Cloud Operations over others, resulting in them missing the opportunity to generate a larger ROI during their digital transformation. AWS Cloud Operations Competency Partners have proven customer success in delivering solutions to help customers set up, build, migrate, and operate securely and efficiently with an integrated approach to Cloud Operations.

The AWS Cloud Operations Competency differentiates AWS Partner Network (APN) members with significant expertise in providing cross functional guidance across the five solution areas of Cloud Operations. Mission Cloud follows AWS best practices and has proven experience in:

  • Cloud Governance — AWS Partners in this solution area have a proven track record of helping customers plan, build and manage hybrid cloud environments that are secure, scalable, and cost-efficient from the start. Customers can address potential threats, leverage best practices, and meet compliance requirements, even as customers integrate with other services and third-party tools. When customers set up an environment that is optimized for governance, they increase their productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Monitoring and Observability — AWS Partners in this solution area have a proven track record of helping customers use observability services to understand what is happening across their technology stack at any time, leveraging AWS-native services, Application Performance Monitoring (APM), and open-source solutions. With validated AWS Partners, customers can get an end-to-end view into events in cloud, hybrid, or on-premises environments. They also gain insights into the behavior, performance, and health of their systems to reduce time to detect and resolve issues.
  • Cloud Financial Management — AWS Partners in this solution area have a proven track record of helping customers plan for optimized cloud spend management from day one with services, tooling, and resources. Customers can organize and track cloud cost and usage, implement cost controls, plan better through budgeting and forecasts, and further improve cost efficiency with resource utilization and purchase strategy optimizations.

“Mission Cloud is proud to be among the first AWS Partners to achieve the AWS Cloud Operations Competency at launch,” said Erin Coleman, VP of Cloud Services, Mission Cloud. “Attaining the AWS Cloud Operations Competency is a significant differentiator for Mission, validating our commitment to helping customers optimize their cloud operations and drive tangible business outcomes. By leveraging our cloud operations team, customers are able to offload the burden of managing their cloud performance, availability, and costs, so they can focus on their core business objectives.”

With Mission Cloud One, we provide customers with a 24/7 Cloud Operations team to handle the operational complexity of running their AWS environment. Common tasks, like patching, managing backups, and provisioning infrastructure are implemented by this team. And by collaborating on runbooks, Mission can offer proactive support in case of infrastructure incidents. This team also collaborates with InfraOps Cloud Analysts to help customers in identifying performance trends and to supply a more strategic understanding of operational health and alignment to best practices.

Techstreet, one of the world’s largest collections of industry codes and standards, came to Mission Cloud for help migrating to a new AWS environment within six months, modernizing the infrastructure to improve application performance and increase scalability. After the migration, Techstreet leveraged Mission Cloud One to manage its cloud environment.

“We needed a true cloud player with experience who could not only support our migration but also help us leverage native AWS services. We also needed off-hours monitoring—partnering with Mission gave us the ability to holistically optimize our cloud operations,” said Dennis Burrill, Vice President of Technology, Techstreet.
