Perry Ellis International Partners with Via.Delivery to Help Shoppers Balance Shipping Costs with Speed, Convenience and Security
Via.Delivery, the next-generation technology company transforming the US shipping and delivery market by creating the country’s largest BOPA network, announced that Perry Ellis went live on the Via.Delivery platform in preparation for the 2022 holiday shopping season. Perry Ellis is known for its established brands of apparel including An Original Penguin by Munsingwear, Rafaella, Cubavera, Callaway and GolfApparelShop.com, which features six major golf and tennis brands including PGA TOUR and Jack Nicklaus. Perry Ellis and its participating brands selected Via.Delivery to offer ecommerce shoppers convenient, low-cost Buy Online, Pickup Anywhere (BOPA) shipping options. All six unique storefronts also integrated Via.Delivery’s order management system with a leading logistics and transportation company’s fulfillment services, and will support fulfillment and shipping services from each brand’s brick-and-mortar stores.
With inflation at a 40-year high, nearly 3 in 4 US consumers (73%) are watching their spending as we head into the 2022 holiday season, and about 3 in 5 consumers (59%) are downright stressed about holiday spending, according to a recent survey of 1,004 US consumers.

“Shoppers are more price conscious than ever right now, and our online shoppers are looking for ways to balance shipping costs with speed, convenience and security,” said Jay Nigrelli, Senior Vice President of Ecommerce at Perry Ellis International. “With Via.Delivery, our shoppers can save on shipping by having their orders delivered to one of more than 21,000 convenient BOPA locations across the nation, including inside pharmacies, grocery stores, gas stations, or convenience stores.”
Nigrelli also is excited about the company’s ability to avoid certain peak season surcharges with the use of this service. “Via.Delivery’s concept of delivering to commercial locations eliminates residential surcharges that are further increased during the peak holiday shipping season.”

Additionally, shoppers are concerned their packages will be stolen as more than 210 million packages vanished from porches across the U.S. last year, according to Safewise research. Porch piracy impacts a lot of shoppers — 64.1% of Americans have been victims of package theft in the last year and 53.5% had multiple parcels snatched during that period.
“During peak season, there is always a surge in package deliveries. More packages equate to more opportunities for theft,” said Mitchell Nikitin, CEO and co-founder of Via.Delivery. “Shoppers can protect themselves from porch pirates by having their online orders shipped to one of our BOPA pickup locations. Each one of our locations accepts and securely holds packages for up to seven (7) calendar days.”
“Via.Delivery is enabling Perry Ellis to address package theft head-on,” Nigrelli added. “Not only are we giving shoppers flexible delivery options, we’re providing them secure locations to hold their packages.”
