Flywheel is adding two new solutions to its product suite. The tools will give researchers new ways to streamline clinical trials, plus discover patient cohorts and analyze data on an enterprise scale.

Flywheel Trial Flow is Flywheel’s data management platform for compliant clinical data ingestion and trial data management. Researchers at study sites, contract research organizations (CROs), or other entities that operate under 21 CFR Part 11 can leverage Trial Flow to efficiently and securely capture, curate, and quantify imaging and associated data for clinical trials and other compliant research. Trial Flow gives researchers tools for file capture and verification, integration with clinical data, site query workflows, automation of image processing routines, and comprehensive audit trails across all data elements and user actions.

Flywheel Discovery is Flywheel’s new solution for enterprise-scale cohort discovery and analysis. It interfaces directly with enterprise PACS and clinical reporting systems to index DICOM metadata and clinical reports, creating a catalog of searchable data and enabling streamlined discovery of patient cohorts and analysis of trends within the imaging enterprise. Researchers can use Discovery to create de-identified cohorts and export the data for further research.

Trial Flow and Discovery complement the flagship Flywheel Enterprise, with which these new offerings can integrate to streamline efforts in machine learning, drug discovery, multi-center studies, and more.

“Our users around the world have come to rely on Flywheel to streamline their data management so they can focus their research time on making breakthroughs,” said Jim Olson, CEO of Flywheel. “We’re proud to expand our capabilities and enable new types of breakthroughs with Flywheel Trial Flow and Flywheel Discovery. With powerful tools for cohort discovery and clinical trial data management, researchers can accelerate their work and bring healthcare innovations to the world faster.”
