SingleStore Appoints Paul Forte as Its Chief Revenue Officer
Industry Veteran Joins to Spearhead the Company’s Next Evolution of Hyper Growth
SingleStore, The Database of NowTM for cloud-native modern applications, announced that it has hired Paul Forte as its chief revenue officer (CRO). Forte, a 25-year tech veteran, has successfully led sales at several innovative, cloud and data-centric software companies and will be responsible for the development and execution of the company’s global sales strategy. He is charged with recruiting to expand SingleStore’s in-house talent and create processes that will allow the company to repeat its successes at scale.

Forte comes to SingleStore from data management company Actifio (recently acquired by Google) where he served as the president of global field operations, including sales, marketing, customer service and post-sales. Prior to that, he served as CRO for cloud-based e-commerce company ChannelAdvisor; as executive vice president of sales for online job platform Monster Worldwide (acquired by human resources service provider Randstad Holding); and as chief sales officer for business automation firm Automic Software (later acquired by CA Technologies).
Prior to that, Forte was vice president of North American sales for IBM’s then-largest software brand, Information Management, which included all of IBM’s data technologies. Also while at IBM, Forte served on IBM’s acquisition team and managed the diligence and integration of a multibillion-dollar portfolio of acquisitions. He joined IBM via its acquisition of enterprise data integration provider Ascential Software, where he held a variety of sales leadership roles.
He also brings exceptional discipline and execution from his background in the U.S. Army, where he spent seven years leading young men and women in both peacetime and in war, as well as experience with the sales culture at software company Parametric Technology Corp.
