“Without data, there can be no AI, whether you’re training models or bringing first-party data context into large language models (LLMs),” said Michel Tricot, co-founder and CEO, Airbyte. “With over 170,000 unique deployments, more than 550 data sources, and our global user community building more than 10,000 custom connectors for their own needs, Airbyte provides organizations with unprecedented opportunities to leverage data and integrate with cutting-edge technologies. We are seeing many enterprises modernizing and moving away from proprietary and legacy data movement technology that struggles to keep up with the fast pace of AI advancement.”

Over the past four months, in the wake of the launch of Airbyte 1.0, users have created more data connectors for Miro, Twilio Segment, Vercel, WordPress, and many more popular platforms that help simplify data integration. The most recent updates include a new Motherduck destination connector, which works with both DuckDB and MotherDuck delivering data integration for AI and analytics. Airbyte and Motherduck have launched a hackathon over the next month with $10,000 in awards for best submissions, plus additional prizes.

In total, there are more than 550 data connectors now available in the Airbyte Marketplace, including eight vector databases, in addition to unstructured data sources, which then can be accessed by AI models. The company is on track to reach more than 1,000 connectors by the end of 2025.

In addition, Airbyte makes available Connector Builders, as well as an AI Assistant, for users who want to easily create custom data connectors for their specific needs. In just 10 minutes, data engineers can build production-ready custom connectors, enabling integration of data across diverse platforms and ecosystems. More than 10,000 custom connectors have been built by the Airbyte global community of 20,000 data engineers.

The most recent releases of Airbyte add new features that include support for deployments to the popular Red Hat OpenShift hybrid cloud application platform. Plus, a new Connection Timeline feature that helps audit connection histories and track changes. It provides records of schema modifications and settings adjustments that is especially useful for GenAI applications with data that comes from diverse sources with different formats and schemas. It provides transparency into data pipelines and their history. Read this blog post to learn more.
