Albert Technologies Announces New Chairwoman and Director to Its Board of Directors

Executives from WPP and Local World Appointed to Steer the Expansion of the World’s First Autonomous AI for Digital Marketing

Albert Technologies, LTD. (AIM: ALB.L), the world’s first and only fully autonomous AI-as-a-service platform for marketers,  announced two new independent member appointments to its board of directors. The board has appointed Lisa Gordon, former Chief Operating Officer of Yattendon Group Plc as chairwoman; and Robert Norman, the former Global Digital Officer of GroupM as director. Gordon was appointed chairwoman following the retirement of former Orange UK CEO John Allwood. With these changes, the Albert Technologies board consists of six members, four of whom are independent.

Gordon co-founded and acted as Corporate Development Director of Local World, a large media network focused on regional news via online and print titles in the UK. She was appointed to Albert’s board as independent non-executive director in June 2015 and served more than three years before being appointed Chairwoman.

Norman additionally brings significant industry experience to the Board, having spent 31 years at companies within the WPP media agency network. He will be key to guiding the growth of Albert’s ongoing agency partnership program.

Gordon and Norman, along with the other experienced and influential business leaders on the Albert Technologies board, will lead Albert into its next phase of growth. The new board of directors will specifically be charged with overseeing the following key company priorities:

  • establishing Albert as the first marketing AI-as-a-Service platform, providing global consumer brands a cutting-edge solution for autonomous, cross-channel, digital campaign orchestration accompanied by strategic services;
  • growing Albert’s partnerships with global consultancies and agencies;
  • expanding the company’s direct sales and marketing activities in support of continued growth.

Gordon’s experience spans media’s evolution from print to online and will provide invaluable insight as the industry seeks to bridge agencies and emerging technologies.

In 2015, her company, Local World, was acquired by Trinity Mirror Plc. She was appointed to Albert Technologies’ board the same year. Gordon previously served on the board of Chrysalis Group plc, as Corporate Development Director, and latterly CEO of Chrysalis New Media.

Norman retired as Global Chief Digital Officer of GroupM in December 2017 and continues to act as a Senior Advisor to GroupM following his retirement.

Albert’s board of directors additionally includes Or Shani, CEO of Albert; Meir Moshe, the former Chief Financial Officer of Radware; Yoram Freund, CFO of Albert and former VP of Finance of Radware; and Barak Saloman, the Founding Partner of Q3P.
