Augury, a leading provider of AI solutions that help industrial and manufacturing companies increase their productivity, efficiency, and reliability, today unveiled the next generation of its Machine Health sensing platform with the release of the Halo™ R4000 series of sensors. Advanced users of IoT-enabled solutions are familiar with the complexities of implementing new monitoring technologies, which often introduce challenges such as device management, network recovery, and other non-value-added tasks. Additionally, maintenance teams in more extreme environments often struggle to find solutions that can operate reliably in their specific conditions. Today’s release unveils the next generation of AI-enabled IoT sensors that helps solve these challenges. The Halo R4000 series, the world’s only true edge-AI-capable, industrial-grade machine health sensor, brings unparalleled smart diagnostics, self-healing connectivity, and protection to extreme environments – all in Augury’s smallest and lightest sensor yet.

“To be truly reliable in an industrial setting, AI must go beyond monitoring the machine and extend to the IoT network as well”

“To be truly reliable in an industrial setting, AI must go beyond monitoring the machine and extend to the IoT network as well,” said Saar Yoskovitz, co-founder and CEO of Augury. “To meet that demand, Augury is infusing AI into every layer of the Predictive Maintenance stack, from the sensor to the gateway and into the cloud, to power everything from self-healing network architectures to edge-AI capabilities so companies can cover more equipment. The addition of the groundbreaking Halo R4000 series sensor unlocks hybrid-AI prescriptive diagnostics to provide reliable and actionable insights at any time, in your most difficult operating environments.”

Engineered to endure challenging industrial conditions with a ruggedized enclosure, the Halo R4000 series features a triple combo of IP66/68/69 ratings and pressure-activated double O-ring seals to ensure resilience in heavy washdown environments. At just 2×2 inches, this compact sensor is designed to work in tight spaces to maximize the reach of Machine Health insights. The release of these new sensors and Augury’s AI advancements further expand the types of machines that can be monitored to include non-steady load/speed machines (like overhead cranes and log debarkers), low RPM/slow rotating machines (between 150 – 300 RPM), and high rotating machines that endure high g-force (up to 40G).

To realize the goal of AI at every level of the IoT stack, the R4000 series sensors are integrated with the Cassia X-2000 gateway – the leading industrial Bluetooth gateway optimized for industrial IoT (IIoT) applications, and are able to support up to 40 Halo sensors per gateway. This combination provides edge-AI computational capabilities across every layer of a manufacturer’s Machine Health tech stack – in the gateway, the sensor, and the cloud. Not only does this integration drive reduced latency, but, most importantly, it also empowers reliable AI everywhere and anywhere it needs to be.

Augury’s new IoT system enables novel, powerful AI-diagnostic capabilities such as sensor fusion, which combines millisecond-level vibration, magnetic, and temperature samples to enable advanced capabilities like phase analysis. With new auto-baseline functionality, Augury’s AI will automatically determine a machine’s condition within 48 hours of sensor installation. With advanced sampling capabilities tailored to match a machine’s operating condition and optional on-demand sampling that can be conducted to verify machine condition for single use cases, this IoT system is designed to enhance use cases for maintenance and reliability teams and future-proof their operations for long-term value.

To help ensure these AI capabilities are available across the entire industrial landscape, Augury is also announcing its new HexaLock sensor mounting system, which is designed for both greenfield and brownfield environments. HexaLock mounts will streamline sensor-related tasks while ensuring data quality for maintenance and reliability teams and represent the first step toward standardizing sensing placement to optimize AI-driven monitoring and analytics. Augury will make the system available to existing customers in the very near future.
