Canadian Immigration Technology Pioneer Visto Leverages Artificial Intelligence to Expedite Applications for Student Visas
Visto.ai, a technology platform that helps skilled workers and students apply for visa programs in Canada, has launched its Visto Study app to assist people applying for college and university admissions with creating their study plan, a critical element of all student visa applications. The Visto platform, which uses technologies including open-AI platform Chat GPT, makes it easier than ever for applicants to create coherent documentation of their upcoming courses of study that meet the standards and guidelines set out by Immigration Canada.

“Applying for a student visa is challenging for international students because there are so many different requirements that need to be completed”
“Applying for a student visa is challenging for international students because there are so many different requirements that need to be completed,” says Visto CEO Josh Schachnow, an immigration lawyer based in Toronto who has worked with hundreds of individuals and companies to expedite their journeys to Canada. “The study plan is a critical component of any student application, but it is notoriously difficult for people, and especially younger students, to complete because the guidelines are vague and can be difficult to follow. We have demystified the process and made it easy for people to create coherent narratives that clearly explain why they want to come to Canada and what they plan to pursue in school. This is an amazing use of artificial intelligence, and we are excited because it is just the beginning. Thanks to AI and eventually machine learning, the platform will eventually be able to prep applications better than most law firms!”

The Visto Platform is designed for use by international students and immigration consultants and lawyers who work with them to create their visa applications. Prospective students who use the Visto platform have the option of creating their own study plans from scratch or using the artificial intelligence tool, which only takes about 10 seconds and generates thorough documentation that provides the level of detail that Immigration Canada requires.
