Smartlink Health Announces That It Has Achieved SOC 2 Type I Compliance

Smartlink Health announced that it has achieved SOC 2 Type I compliance in accordance with American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) standards for SOC for Service Organizations, also known as SSAE 18. Achieving this standard with an unqualified opinion serves as third-party industry validation that Smartlink Health provides enterprise-level security for its customers’ data secured within its interoperability platform.

Smartlink provides a suite of cloud-based solutions, including an Integration Platform-as-as-Service (iPaaS) solution called Smartlink Data Connector (SDC). The solution exchanges data bidirectionally with electronic health records (EHRs) via the user interface and can also integrate with health IT systems via HL7, API, and database. It works with any EHR operating environment (SaaS, hosted, on-premise) and can insert or extract virtually any data, including documents, images, notes, discrete data, and messages. SDC eliminates the need to work with EHR vendors and implements much faster than traditional approaches to EHR integration. Smartlink’s software platform also provides support for COVID-19 Response Management and Medicare programs such as Chronic Care Management, Annual Wellness Visits, Transitional Care, and Collaborative Care.
