October 11, Business Q Magazine awarded FluentWorlds visionary and founder, Dr. Linda Bradford, the #6 spot on its 50 start-ups to watch list. Dr. Bradford, along with husband David and key team members, have produced what is arguably the most advanced language learning app on the market. The FluentWorlds app has been described as the world’s most sophisticated and versatile 3D/VR tool for immersive language learning available today.

On October 12, FluentWorlds’ CEO, David Bradford, was awarded the Emeriti Distinguished Service Award by the BYU Alumni Association. The association recognized Bradford for his significant contributions to FluentWorlds’ groundbreaking work in the language training world, his induction into the UVBusiness and the UTC Technology Halls of Fame, as well as his lifetime of achievements in the tech industry.

Using artificial intelligence, the app helps users improve their accent by analyzing and scoring their pronunciation on a scale of 1 to 100 while giving each individual their unique graphical VoicePrint. Further, Perfect Accent provides Accent Reduction Tips customized to the user’s native language. Additionally, the App features English for Specific Purposes with 80 job or vocational categories challenging users with the 200 to 800 most essential sentences in each category.
