Leena AI Raises $8 Million in Funding Led by Greycroft
Workflow is the progression of phases (tasks, activities, interactions), involving two or more people, generating or contributing meaning to the aims of an organization. In a sequencing workflow, the completion of a prior step relies upon each subsequent step; two or three steps may be performed simultaneously in a sequential workflow. The workflow may also be described as business process execution and automation: where tasks, information, and documentation are separated among team members and followed by a set of rules.
AI-automated workflows promote continuity throughout the whole process which can contribute to incremental growth in team efficiency, significant error or error elimination, and stress alleviation.

In similar aspects of AI streamlining the employee workflows, Leena AI has secured $8 million in Series A funding led by US venture capital firm Greycroft. It has also raised personal investments from Adam Miller, founder of software firm Cornerstone OnDemand; Alan Patricof, Chairman of Greycroft, and Jim Moffatt, former chairman and CEO of Deloitte Consulting.
With the raised capital, the AI-powered employee helpdesk will expand its customer base. Over the last nine months, it has grown substantially to cover over 100 enterprises including Lafarge Holcim, Abbott, Coca-Cola, AirAsia, Vodafone, and Sony Pictures. It has also been able to grow its revenue by 350 percent in the same period.
Leena’s AI solution is known for streamlining employee workflows and plugs process gaps. The AI solution can answer repetitive employee queries on its own and serves mid-market and enterprise customers with its conversational AI product aimed at HR workflows.

“Legacy internal helpdesks are simply not meeting the needs of the world’s top enterprises. They are not user friendly, are tough to deploy, and lack intelligence. Leena AI Service Delivery suite changes that, bringing the consumer experience to enterprise employees,” said co-founder and CEO Adit Jain.
“Leena AI has created a scalable AI platform that solves critical requests for all employees and provides them with a single access point for all of their critical HR needs,” said Mark Terbeek, Partner at Greycroft. “In this era of accelerated remote work environments, satisfying key employee inquiries is even more critical.”
Research from IDC, a major global supplier of market intelligence for the technology industry, indicates that the participation of digital employees will continue to rise, growing above 50 percent by 2022.
When automated employees alter the composition of the modern workforce, these innovations can radically transform how human roles and workflows are conducted. AI will simplify the mundane, routine, and dull activities frequently disliked by workers. Tasks like data entry, manual sorting, and paper preparation not only can be entirely handled by AI, but oftentimes can often be done even more easily, effectively, and reliably. It frees up time and human capital to focus on more meaningful and high-value tasks.
