OpenSpace and PlanGrid Integration Allows Construction Teams to Drive Productivity Using AI-Powered Imagery
OpenSpace, the leader in AI-enabled 360-degree job site documentation, announced it has partnered with PlanGrid, recently acquired by Autodesk and a leader in construction productivity software. PlanGrid’s mobile-first software enables construction team members to collaborate in real-time on blueprints, specs, photos, RFIs, field reports, punch lists and other information from any device.
The integration enables construction workers to effortlessly export any image captured in the OpenSpace system into PlanGrid with a single touch. Those exported images can be shared in PlanGrid as links within drawings and used as references for PlanGrid RFIs and Field Reports.

OpenSpace makes it effortless to generate complete visual records of any space, indoor and out, and track progress over time with Google Street View-style captures of anything. The patented technology replaces the ‘we said, they said’ of building construction and asset management with concrete facts, accessible from anywhere, anytime. OpenSpace simplifies dispute resolution, liability claims and day-to-day management of the built environment.
“As the industry looks to use 360-degree reality capture to better document progress on jobsites, PlanGrid’s partnership with OpenSpace is a big step forward for construction teams,” said James Cook, head of strategic alliances and partnerships at PlanGrid. “The ability to share OpenSpace imagery into PlanGrid gives our customers more context about the work they are doing, ultimately saving them time and money.”
