SDAIA’s Arabic Large Language Model ‘ALLaM’ is now fully operational on IBM watsonx

What is The News About?

The open-source Arabic Large Language Model (LLM) “ALLaM” was developed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and hosted on IBM’s Watsonx enterprise AI and data platform (Nwas launched. The model comes with an optional AUP. To train, fine-tune, and deploy ALLaM, clients can use the model through the watsonx.ai studio. The model comes with industry-leading governance tools, which assist ensure responsible deployment and compliance with IBM’s ethical AI guidelines.

On the main stage at Think Boston 2024, the announcement was made by Arvind Krishna, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IBM, and H.E. Dr. Esam Alwagait, Director of the National Information Center at the Saudi Data Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). Speakers at the conference included Dr. Yaser Alonaizan, CEO of SDAIA’s National Center for AI.
